Mr. Ang Lee, meets UC Berkeley

So it has been a long week. About 1300 pics later I am still shooting at the SFIAAFF! But the other day Ang Lee screened his latest flick, Lust, Caution. And after the movie he had a Q&A with Linda Williams, a film professor at Cal. Lets just say she is an expert in porn and they talked about sex ALOT! haha. Check out some pics below.

Busy as SHIET!!

Yeah, don't even have much time to write a post, but I just wanted to share that I've been working for the SF International Asian American Film Festival (SFIAAFF, and yes I am tired of saying and writing that, haha). Cafes, life, and makin' it all happen

Well, it's been a looooong time since I last blogged. Lots of stuff is happening in my life right now. Some good, some bad, but I'm trying to stay positive in 2009! Got laid off, but hey, sign of the times, and it wasn't my fault at all. But on the positive side, I get time to do my own little projects, take more pics, visit cafes and smooch off the free Internet, and think about what I really want to do for the next 80 years or so.... yup I'm gonna out live you all! haha, well I did get diagnosed with high cholesterol, but hey, that won't stop me, only make me stronger. So yeah, lets get on with the pics and off of the rambling.

First off, took a trip to LA with Priya, had a blast, took some wide shots of the storm that passed through LA and the Bay. Check it...

Reminiscing must be 2000ish?

I was looking over some old pics of mine to see if I had anything worthwhile from way back to put in my portfolio, saw this pic with this caption. These "kids," my cousins, probably look way different now! This was during one of my many summer trips back to Taiwan.



Color is a little weird... I think this was in the south of Taiwan a town called Kee Lung. They have the best seafood, I had lobster sashimi! So fresh that when they brought it out, the tentacles were still twitching. The kids had a fun time with the lobster's leftover brain synapses.

Back in the days when I was a teenager, before I had status and before I had a pager...

You can find the Chunhan, listenin to Hip-Hop, my pops used to say that it reminded him of Chinese opera..haha ok sorry had to do it. Yes the Abstract poet himself Q-tip was in the house at Mezzanine! And damn, ripped it up, did a bunch of old jams too like Sucka Ni$$a, Classic Example of a date rape... etc etc, and some new jams. Took me back to the 1990's. Great crowd too. Check out the pics below, and yeah The Cool Kids were there too, I call them a kind of black version of the Beastie Boys, if that makes any sense. They can rock a crowd though, but just real simple raps, nothing flashy, but dope beats.
